We know, we know. Sounds like a fun place, eh? Well, it is. But it's also a place where the people push themselves every day. Long hours, tight deadlines, and the requirement that you be creative on demand. Still sound good?
We aren't currently hiring. But that doesn't mean we don't want to hear from you. Send us an E-mail. Send us your resume. Send us a bribe. But, don't send us your dirty laundry. If you want to really get our attention, you might want to read this.
So you want to work at an agency, eh? Want to show us your stuff? Want to see if you like the work? If you can cut it?
Take some time and complete either this concepting/writing or concepting/designing exercise. Then, when you think you'd be ready to show it to a client, E-mail it to us. We promise, we'll give you some honest critiques and feedback.
Here's the project:
Your client, Better Butter, has created a new product. It is a box containing four sticks of butter. Each stick of butter is pre-mixed with a certain spice. There is a:
- butter/oregano stick
- butter/parsley stick
- butter/chives stick
- butter/nutmeg stick
You can only buy the butter in the four pack. So you can't, for example, buy four butter/parsley sticks. You have to buy the package as described above.
This is a new product roll out.
- Who would you target?
- How would you position the product?
- What would you name the new product?
If you're a writer type - answer the above questions and then write a radio and a TV script for the roll out.
If you're a designer type - answer the above questions and design a print ad and POP display for the grocery store.
If you're an account service type - answer the above questions and then tell us how you might use social media to launch this product.
