Nothing smarter than women who write!

W The W list.  The new Z list

Myself, I'd have called it the S list.  S for smart, sexy and more than a dash of sass.

Women who blog.  Every one of them well worth the read.

  1. Hey Drew:

Thank you for helping spread the list. Anna Farmery is indeed on the list under The Engaging Brand. I had to put her on in the beginning, you know how these lists can travel fast and the UK was in fact the first place the list went to after I hit the publish button 😉

In the last version I sent a couple of places we had 125 bloggers and it included Ryan for sure. I will have to check for Connie.

  2. Lori Magno says:

Drew, many thanks for the link love! How kind of you to introduce some new authors.

  3. Connie Reece says:

Drew, thanks for adding me to your list! Liz Strauss did as well … but she didn’t call me “smart, sexy” with “more than a dash of sass.” And that is soooo me. 🙂

I just pruned my RSS feeds again. Now it looks like I’m going to have to add some new ones.

  4. Toby says:

Drew – Made my Sunday night .. thanks for including me in your smart, sexy, sassy list!

  5. Anna Farmery says:

Wow, Drew let me get this right – Smart, Sexy with a dash of Sass! That is the best comment I have had from a man in years! You are too kind with the shout out, however you can go to sleep tonight knowing you have made this little lady very happy… 🙂

I love this list, as I like to find great new reads, reads that will inspire you for the week ahead and this list has helped me find some great new talent.

  6. I’ve been making my way through this list one by one, and there are some absolutely amazing blogs out there by the “SSS” group you mention. You’re obviously a very smart, perceptive, successful, kind, etc., etc., man to notice…Come and visit my blog anytime.

  7. Drew, what a fun way to further qualify the W list! Thank you for the mention and for amplifying the conversation.

Lew, go back to Valeria’s and Kami Huyse’s original posts to get the stats on why every now and then it’s good to filter by gender. The other really fun aspect of using filters is uncovering exceptional resources. Look at what Arun’s train filter has uncovered!

  8. Valeria,

Yes…I didn’t think about the “the” so I missed Anna. She’s good enough that we can mention her twice though!

    Drew

  9. Lori,

It was off your site that I found the list. As I scrolled through them, I quickly recognized what a wealth of smarts there was and that my readers needed to meet all of you.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

    Drew

  10. Connie,

You know me….I call them as I see them. And you are all about sass!

    Drew

  11. Toby,

What list about smart, sexy and sassy women would be complete without you??

    Drew

  12. Anna,

I agree — the list is filled with some of the best blogs out there.

And, as I said to Connie…I just call them how I see them. Glad you appreciated my apt description.

    Drew

  13. Anita,

Actually, I spent a long time strolling through your blog this weekend. You are a gifted storyteller and I enjoyed my time there. You will no doubt see me there again.

As a boss (and I hope a good one) it was insightful to be reminded of of a few things.

    Drew

  14. Lewis,

This really wasn’t about link love at all. It’s about recognizing some incredibly talented women who don’t always get their due because we men overshadow them in numbers.

Much like the Z-list that we benefited from — it’s also about introducing readers to some writers they might have missed.

But to your gender question — I think men and women do come at things a little differently. There is value, I believe, in choosing to seek out both perspectives and learn from each side of the coin.

    Next, I think you, Sansone and I should start an Italian Stallions who blog. What do you think? ;-}

    Drew

  15. C.B.

Glad to put the spotlight on some amazing resources. Thanks for being one of them!

    Drew

Unfortunate Jennifer Rice is not on this list. What ever happened to her? Her blog was one of my favorites! New picture on her profile, but no post since she went to Prophet last May.

I loved the idea behind the W-List but I wanted them to be organized so I took it upon myself. I added descriptions and categories to each posting.

  18. @ Chris — I don’t know why Jennifer isn’t on the list. But if I understand it right…just add her to the list when you post it on your blog.

@ Elysa — that’s what I love about these sorts of things. Each person adds their own spin and value until it has become alive and evolving. I’m sure everyone loves your addition.

    Drew
